Big Data Opportunity Seminar for Executives (1 day)
We can educate your leadership team on big data: handling large-scale and unstructured information, and advanced analytics through data science. In just one day we give background on the business and technology trends including:
Hands-on Hadoop Developer Course for up to 20 students (3 days)
This course for developers is designed to make you productive with Hadoop as soon as possible. Once the Hadoop cluster is up and running, you need to transition existing data management applications over to Hadoop quickly, as well as leverage the new capabilities now available to explore new uses of that data. This course addresses those urgent needs. If you're joining an established Big Data team, this course gives you the foundation you need to become productive as soon as possible.
What You Will Learn
Misone Solution courses teach by doing, where short lectures and hands-on exercises are interspersed. By the end of the course, you will learn the following:
Hands-on Hadoop Pig and Hive Course for up to 20 students (2 days)
This course is aimed at Hadoop users who aren't developers and who are already proficient in SQLor similar technologies for running queries against traditional databases. In this course, you will learn how to use Hive, a SQL dialect for Hadoop, and Pig, a data flow language for Hadoop. Both tools let you work with your Hadoop data quickly and efficiently, without the need to understand the underlying Hadoop Java APIs. You will also learn the basics of the MapReduce computing model used by Hadoop, so you will know how to use Hive and Pig more effectively when performance counts.
